Working From Home

More people than ever are working from home in the Richmond area and around the country. If you have never worked from home before, it's normal to feel that it can be a challenge to juggle family, work, and other obligations the same as if you were going to an office on a daily basis. Our real estate agents understand the struggle and compiled these seven strategies you can apply to make working from home a bit easier.

  1. Ease into the New Routine
Don't feel as if you have to become a work-from-home professional overnight. It takes time to adjust to working from home. You may feel isolated, frustrated, and a bit anxious. That's entirely common, and it's alright to ease yourself through the transition gently.
  2. Dress for Success
It may seem silly, and while you can work in your pajamas or sweats, wearing your "work clothes" can help you maintain a professional mindset and protect your morale.

Richmond Basketball Courts

Sure, a lot of our real estate agents are glued to the TV on March weekends catching the big games. But the fun and excitement of your full-court action are never far away here in Richmond.

There are plenty of gyms and community sports centers where you can enjoy a game or get your brand of exercise. Basketball, softball, tennis, swimming, and more are popular here.

Because the weather is so mild most of the year, you'll find plenty of indoor and outdoor courts to choose from. Plus, many communities have adult leagues and weekend teams to join. Of course, kids, teens, and twenty-somethings will find plenty of opportunities.

Let's look at five favorites for basketball in and around Richmond:

  1. RockIt Sports – 3001 East Parham Road, Henrico, VA 23228
RockIt Sports is just outside central Richmond and only a "full-court drive" away from Henrico homes for sale. Established in 2013, RockIt provides quality personalized instruction in a range of athletic pursuits. In addition to its NCAA regulation-size hardwood court, there's also an additional hardwood loft court upstairs, bullpen setups, and a 10"x10" indoor infield.

Buying a house should never be entered into lightly, and often many potential buyers may not realize just how much work it actually takes or the process involved. Doing as much research as possible can help determine exactly what is needed and required, to put a buyer in the best possible position to make a purchase.

Here are ten (10) great ways to help you identify the point at which making a home purchase becomes feasible for you:

1) Little to no credit card debt

When you're trying to get a mortgage, perhaps the most important aspect of doing so is getting your credit card debt reduced as close to zero as possible, according to Money Under 30. That's true for two reasons. First, the size of your credit card balances relative to your limits makes up a significant portion of your credit score. Second, lenders look at debt-to-inc...
